The Heldrich Center evaluated the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s program to provide technical assistance and staff development at four Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) sites located in Passaic, Bergen, Burlington, and Cumberland/Salem counties, and to evaluate the process and effectiveness of the state’s technical assistance and staff intervention efforts. The New Jersey DEI grant engaged these sites in a series of activities designed to improve the professional development and capacity of One-Stop Career Center staff to serve youth with disabilities, including but not limited to the creation of a Disability Resource Coordination position at each site.
