December 8, 2021

Lozano will assume new job in January 2022.

Heldrich Center National Advisory Board Member Jose Lozano has been appointed Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Business Opportunities at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). He will manage efforts to partner with organizations so that HMH can pursue its mission to transform health care. He begins his new position in early January 2022.

Since June 2018, Jose has been effectively leading Choose New Jersey as the nonprofit’s President and CEO. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy appointed Jose to serve as co-chair of the state’s Restart and Recovery Council, which assembled over 200 leaders to help New Jersey rebound from the economic hardships caused by the pandemic. Jose also was the executive director of Governor-elect Murphy’s transition in 2017 and served in senior positions in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in New Jersey state government during the administration of Governor Jon Corzine.

Heldrich Center Director Carl Van Horn remarked, “Jose is an outstanding leader who has thrived in both the public and private sector. New Jersey has greatly benefited from Jose’s work at Choose New Jersey. I look forward to working with Jose in the coming years.”
