A May 2019 forum brought together New Jersey and national leaders to discuss strategies and solutions to increase good quality jobs. 

A May 2019 forum hosted by the Heldrich Center and JerseyCAN brought together New Jersey and national leaders to discuss strategies and solutions to increase good quality jobs. Speakers included Dr. Carl Van Horn, Director of the Heldrich Center and Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University; Robert Asaro-Angelo, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development; and Alastair Fitzpayne, Executive Director of the Future of Work Initiative at The Aspen Institute. Additionally, Maria Heidkamp, Director of Program Development and Technical Assistance at the Heldrich Center and Director of the center’s New Start Career Network, moderated a discussion with three panelists: Pronita Gupta, Director of Job Quality at CLASP; Tiffany Ferguson, Community Development Analyst in the Regional Community Outreach division at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; and Richard Lawton, Executive Director of the New Jersey Sustainable Business Council.
