Michele Martin is Director of Technical Assistance at the Heldrich Center and Director of the New Start Career Network. She is a Certified Career Development Instructor with over 25 years of experience in human resources, workforce, and career development, and has worked on projects with the U.S. Department of Labor, Job Corps, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the National Associaton of State Workforce Agencies, the Garden State Employment and Training Association, the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association, and numerous local workforce programs in Pennyslvania and New Jersey. Currently, she is working as Senior Associate with the Heldrich Center's New Start Career Network program, which supports New Jersey residents 45 and older who are unemployed for six or more months with volunteer career coaching and virtual services. She is also co-creator and facilitator of the New Jersey Career Network Coaching Community of Practice. Michele is a frequent workforce conference presenter on topics such as coaching techniques, supporting job seekers in the gig economy, providing virtual services to job seekers, and using design thinking to support workforce programming. She is the creator of The Speedy Startup, a 12-week group coaching program designed to help solopreneurs move quickly from developing their business idea to generating revenue, a program she has implemented with both adults and youth in Pennsylvania. She also facilitates Leadership Delaware County and the Youth Leadership Academy for the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Michele has a B.A. in Government from Franklin and Marshall College.
