Evaluation of Essex County College's Stay-in-Step Academy

Evaluation of Essex County College's Stay-in-Step Academy. The evaluation plan has been designed to generate actionable information on the implementation of the individual project services and to enable the evaluation team to assess the overall effectiveness of the Academy in achieving positive outcomes. Specifically, two research questions will guide the evaluation:

• Which of the project services have worked well and which have not been as effective in helping black male students retain in college?

• In what ways can the services be modified during the course of their implementation to maximize their effectiveness?
