Provides a background of the State Leaders Innovation Institute, a pilot project designed to improve inter-agency coordination on policy, program, and service delivery for people with disabilities. This report summarizes the efforts of the State Leaders Innovation Institute as it helped to fulfill the NTAR mission and support NTAR’s five goals. It includes state profiles of the three states selected by NTAR to participate in the project; outlines their accomplishments, challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned throughout the project; and reflects on the ways the federal government can further encourage systems change efforts to improve employment prospects for adults with disabilities and support the state leaders who champion them.
