Between 2003 and 2006, the Heldrich Center provided evaluation assistance to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as part of its Project ACCESS program. This program, funded through a federal Workforce Incentive Grant, sought to address the multiple barriers to training and employment among persons with disabilities by implementing three approaches: enhanced staff training and staff development at One-Stop Centers; providing assistive technology and enhanced accessibility assessment, and pilot projects in selected New Jersey One-Stops pertaining to outreach, marketing, and/or various employment strategies. Funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Disability Services, through a federal U.S. Department of Labor grant.
