We are pleased to announce that Dr. James W. Hughes, former Dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy will join the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development as Senior Faculty Fellow. Hughes was was named University Professor by the Rutgers University Board of Governors at its June meeting.
Dr. Hughes brings his experience as a nationally known expert on demographics, housing, and regional economics to the Heldrich Center. In addition to helping elevate the Bloustein School to a leading center of public policy and planning, he has addressed crucial urban planning, public health, and public policy issues through academic research and preparing future leaders in the field.
At the Heldrich Center, Dr. Hughes will conduct research on demographic and economic data in order to inform state policy makers and business leaders about important planning and public policy issues.
