Immigration Reform and the Implications for STEM

A new article in Science Careers reports on Heldrich Center Professor Dr. Hal Salzman's research on the implications of immigration reform on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Later this month, the Economic Policy Institute will release a research study on the subject, Guestworkers in the U.S. Labor Market: Analysis of Supply and Employment Trends of the IT Workforce. The report was authored by Dr. Salzman, Daniel Kuehn of American University, and B. Lindsay Lowell of Georgetown University.
