Three Heldrich Center for Workforce Development researchers recently served on New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s transition committees.

Over a dozen committees were formed in November 2017 to inform the Murphy administration’s legislative and regulatory agenda. Committee members then submitted reports and recommendations to Governor Murphy and Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver in early January 2018.

Kathy Krepcio, Executive Director and Senior Researcher at the Heldrich Center, served on the human and children services committee. Read the committee’s report.

Maria Heidkamp, Senior Researcher at the Heldrich Center and Director of the New Start Career Network, co-chaired the labor and workforce development committee. Read the committee’s report.

Dr. Van Horn shared, "It was an honor for me and my colleagues at the Heldrich Center to have the opportunity to help the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and their new team prepare to govern the State of New Jersey."
