Heldrich Center Celebrates 20th Anniversary

On the evening of April 7, more than 175 supporters and partners of the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development gathered in New Brunswick, New Jersey to celebrate the Center’s 20th anniversary.

Dr. Carl Van Horn, director of the Heldrich Center and distinguished professor of public policy at Rutgers University, provided an overview of the Center’s growth, evolution, and accomplishments throughout the past two decades and reflected on the legacy and enduring impact of the late John J. Heldrich. View his presentation.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the John J. Heldrich Distinguished Leadership Awards. The honorees were:

  • The Kessler Foundation
  • NJM Insurance Group
  • New Jersey Resources
  • The Philip and Tammy Murphy Family Foundation
  • William J. Palatucci

The evening also included a photo retrospective featuring Heldrich Center publications, current and former staff, Center events, and the construction of the Center’s headquarters at Heldrich Plaza, which opened to the public in June 2007. View the photo retrospective.
