The April 2013 issue of Policy & Practice features an article entitled "No Man's Land" by Kathy Krepcio about the struggles and challenges of older workers in today's economy. Krepcio also offers recommendations so that older Americans who want or need to work can do so.

A new article in Science Careers reports on Heldrich Center Professor Dr. Hal Salzman's research on the implications of immigration reform on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Later this month, the Economic Policy Institute will release a research study on the subject, Guestworkers in the U.S. Labor Market: Analysis of Supply and Employment Trends of the IT Workforce.

Heldrich Center Director Dr. Carl Van Horn discussed how older workers are facing long-term unemployment more than any other age group in an article in The Plain Dealer.

Kathy Krepcio, Executive Director of the Heldrich Center, was named the recipient of the New Jersey Association of Community Providers' 2012 public leadership award for her work supporting employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
