60 Minutes on Unemployed Workers

On February 19, 2012, CBS' 60 Minutes featured a segment on an innovative program titled "Platform to Employment," an effort to reconnect unemployed workers to the workforce. Operated by The Workplace, Inc. in Connecticut, the program instructs job seekers about how the job search has evolved and then places enrollees in internships with businesses that are looking to hire. To date, 100 people have enrolled in Platform to Employment and 53 have found jobs after five months.
