During the latter part of 2007, the Heldrich Center is assisting the New Jersey Governor's Office of Economic Growth to develop version 2.0 of the state's Economic Growth Strategy. In 2006, the Heldrich Center played a primary role in the development of the first version of the strategy. Specifically, the Heldrich Center is assisting in the development of the state's strategies for: urban economic development, global trade and investment, and workforce development. To inform the development of the strategies, the Heldrich Center is conducting interviews with key stakeholders in the state, reviewing promising and innovative strategies being used by other states, and analyzing available data. Heldrich Center staff will work closely with staff of the Governor's Office of Economic Growth throughout the process and will write a draft of the strategy.
