Workforce Assessment of the NanoScience and Engineering Industry in the United States
0

The Heldrich Center is conducting a five-year study of the workforce implications of nanotechnology in the United States. The study, funded by the National Science Foundation, includes workforce assessments of the nanotechnology industry in three regions of the United States. The Heldrich Center is currently using interviews and a web-based survey of companies to understand the changing skill and educational requirements of the nanotechnology industry in Phoenix and Tempe, AZ. The Center is also reviewing the capacity of local educational institutions to meet expected demand for nanotechnology workers in the region. This project is being completed as part of the Center for Nanotechnology and Society at Arizona State University.

Funded by the National Science Foundation as part of the Center for Nanotechnology and Society at Arizona State University.
