Between 2003-2006, the Heldrich Center provided evaluation assistance to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as part of its Project ACCESS program. This program, funded through a federal Workforce Incentive Grant, sought to address the multiple barriers to training and employment among persons with disabilities by implementing three approaches: enhanced staff training and staff development at One-Stop Centers; providing assistive technology and enhanced accessibility assessment, and pilot projects in selected New Jersey One-Stops pertaining to outreach, marketing, and/or various employment strategies.
