The study—based on an analysis of economic trends and surveys of more than 3,000 workers and several hundred employers—offers concrete recommendations for workers, employers, and policymakers to respond to widespread job dislocation. It also includes first-hand accounts of laid-off workers, and describes public and private sector practices that effectively support displaced workers.
