Krepcio Testifies Regarding Green Jobs
On March 31, 2009, Kathy Krepcio, Executive Director of the Heldrich Center testified at a hearing held by the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections of the House Education and Labor Committee to study and analyze the impact green jobs can have on the nation’s economic recovery. In her testimony, Krepcio highlighted major findings from Heldrich Center research which identify the industry sectors that have the most potential to see green job growth, the driving forces behind such a growth, the skills “green” workers need, the role of workforce and education in preparing these workers, and more. The full testimony is now available on video.
